7월 임시회 마지막 날인 지난 8월 5일(화) 상정된 「방송문화진흥회법 일부개정법률안」에 대한 무제한토론이 실시됐고 6일(수) 자정을 기점으로 회기 종료와 함께 자동 종결됨에 따라 8월 임시회 첫 본회의에서 표결을 진행했다. 그 결과 총 투표수 171표 가운데 찬성 169표, 반대 1표, 기권 1표로 가결됐다.
