브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 대통령과 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 25일(현지시간) 워싱턴DC 백악관에서 첫 정상회담을 열고, 안보·경제 협력, 북한 문제 등 다양한 의제에 대해 폭넓게 논의했다.
대통령실에 따르면 이날 회담은 이재명 대통령 취임 82일 만에 성사된 이번 한미 정상회담은 소인수 회담과 오찬을 겸한 확대 회담까지 이어지며 2시간 20분가량 진행됐다.
이재명 대통령은 모두발언에서 "대한민국은 든든한 한미 동맹을 기반으로 성장 발전해왔다"며 "앞으로 군사뿐 아니라 경제 등 다른 분야로 협력을 확대해 미래형 동맹으로 발전시켜 나가길 바란다"고 강조했다. 이어 "조선뿐 아니라 제조업 르네상스에도 한국이 함께하기를 기대한다"고 말했다.
