도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 26일(현지시간) 한·미 무역합의 논란 관련해 "한국과 (무역협상에서) 문제 있다고 들었으나 어제 (한국 대통령을) 만났고 그들(한국과 무역협상 문제)은 해결됐다"고 밝혔다.
미 'AP 통신'에 따르면 트럼프 대통령은 이날 워싱톤 DC 백악관에서 주재한 국무회의에서 그간 완료된 세계 무역 상대국들과의 협상 타결을 거론하면서 이같이 전했다. 그러나 트럼프 대통령은 한·미 간 구체적 쟁점 사안에 대해선 밝히지 않았다.

이같은 트럼프 대통령 언급은 전날 백악관에서 열린 한·미 정상실무회담에서 양국 간 기존 합의된 무역협상 쟁점이 미국 측에 유리한 쪽으로 결론 내려진 것이란 분석이다.
앞서 지난달 30일 한국은 미국과 3천500억불 규모 대미 투자·1천억불 상당 미국산 에너지 구매 등 조건으로 상호관세율이 15%로 책정됐다.
