박 의원은 지난해 9 월 국회 세종의사당 건립위원회 위원으로 선임되어 ‘국회 세종시대 ’ 를 준비해왔으며, 같은 해 국회 예산결산특별위원회 결산심사 질의에서 국회 세종의사당의 적기 추진을 위해 예산확보의 필요성을 강조하며 정부에 적극적인 협조를 당부한 바 있다.
