[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산국제영화제 30주년을 맞아 '커뮤니티비프(COMMUNITY BIFF)'가 관객 참여형 특별 프로그램을 공개했다. '커뮤니티비프'는 관객과 함께 완성하는 영화 축제를 지향하며, 올해로 8회를 맞이했다.
한예종 영상원 30주년 특별전 '프로젝트 30' 세계 최초 공개
올해 커뮤니티비프는 한국예술종합학교(한예종) 영상원 개원 30주년을 기념해 특별전을 마련했다. 한예종 출신 감독, 교수, 학생 총 30명이 참여한 옴니버스 영화 '프로젝트 30'이 CJ ENM과 함께 세계 최초로 공개된다. 김도영, 윤가은, 이경미, 이종필, 임선애, 정재은 감독 등이 참여했으며, 영상원 30년을 빛낸 대표작들도 함께 상영될 예정이다.
장르를 넘나드는 융합형 기획 '커비컬렉션'과 '커비북스'
'커비컬렉션'은 영화, 뉴미디어, 대중문화 등 다양한 영역을 아우르는 아티스트들과 소통하는 실험적 기획으로, 올해는 '책'을 테마로 한 '커비북스'를 새롭게 선보인다.
정서경 작가(『아가씨』), 이석원 작가(『보통의 존재』), 박상영 작가(『대도시의 사랑법』), 김신록 배우 겸 작가(『배우와 배우가』), 박찬일 작가가 관객과의 대화에 참여한다.
또한 '인터스텔라 5555'(다프트 펑크 × 마츠모토 레이지), 이디오테잎, 바밍타이거의 뮤직비디오 상영도 마련돼 음악과 영상이 융합된 특별한 경험을 제공한다.
관객이 직접 만드는 '리퀘스트시네마'… 13편 최종 선정
'리퀘스트시네마'는 관객이 직접 상영작을 선정하고 기획·운영에 참여하는 대표적인 참여형 프로그램이다. 올해는 부산국제영화제 30주년을 기념해 역대 상영작 중 5,268명이 참여한 투표를 통해 13편이 선정됐다.
이와이 슌지 감독의 '릴리 슈슈의 모든 것', 고레에다 히로카즈 감독의 '바닷마을 다이어리' 등이 상영되며, 감독들과의 온라인 대화도 예정되어 있다.
또한 '형사 Duelist'(개봉 20주년)의 강동원·하지원, '무뢰한'(개봉 10주년)의 김남길·김정현, '초인'의 김정현 등이 참석해 관객과의 추억을 나눈다.
주제별 집중 탐구 '올데이시네마' 3일간 진행
'올데이시네마'는 특정 주제나 공통점을 지닌 영화를 하루 종일 집중적으로 상영하며 탐구하는 기획전이다.
오는 19일(금) '로컬 & 소셜 DAY'에서는 부산외대 글로컬마케터센터, 부산광역시사회복지협의회, 부산공업고등학교총동창회 등이 참여해 청년과 지역사회의 도전을 응원한다.
20일(토) '벡델초이스 & WDN DAY'에서는 한국영화감독조합(DGK), 여성감독네트워크(WDN)와 함께 성평등과 영화인의 현실을 조명한다.
21일(일) '사이언스 DAY'에서는 부산과학문화거점센터와 협업해 SF영화와 과학의 상상력을 결합한 프로그램이 펼쳐진다.
블라인드시네마·마스터톡 등 관객 소통 프로그램 풍성
제목과 정보를 공개하지 않고 게스트의 추천작을 상영하는 '블라인드시네마'에서는 정성일 감독과 성해나 작가(『혼모노』)가 추천하는 작품이 소개된다. '마스터톡'에서는 장재현 감독과 배우 박정민이 '사바하'의 비하인드 스토리를 나누며 관객과 실시간 소통한다.
이 외에도, 1996년 영화제를 회상하는 '커비로드', 자유로운 분위기에서 음식과 영화를 즐기는 심야 상영 '취생몽사' 등 다양한 참여형 프로그램이 준비돼 있다.
부산 전역에서 열리는 커뮤니티비프… 남포동·해운대·동네방네비프까지
제30회 부산국제영화제는 오는 17일(수)부터 26일(금)까지 해운대 영화의전당 일대에서 개최된다.
'커뮤니티비프'는 18일(목)부터 21일(일)까지 중구 남포동에서 진행되며, 부산 전역에서는 '동네방네비프'가 18일(목)부터 25일(목)까지 펼쳐진다. 티켓 예매는 개막식 및 폐막식과 함께 5일(금) 오후 2시에 오픈된다.

This year, Community BIFF is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Korea National University of Arts (KNUA) School of Film, Video, Multimedia (STV). "Project 30," an omnibus film featuring 30 KNUA alumni, including directors, professors, and students, will be premiered in collaboration with CJ ENM. Participating directors include Kim Do-young, Yoon Ga-eun, Lee Kyung-mi, Lee Jong-pil, Lim Seon-ae, and Jung Jae-eun. Representative films that have highlighted the school's 30 years of history will also be screened.
"Kirby Collection" and "Kirby Books": Cross-Genre, Fusion Projects
"Kirby Collection" is an experimental project that engages with artists across diverse fields, including film, new media, and pop culture. This year, the festival presents "Kirby Books," a new program themed around books.
Writers Jeong Seo-kyung ("The Handmaiden"), Lee Seok-won ("Ordinary Being"), Park Sang-young ("Lovestruck in the City"), actor and writer Kim Shin-rok ("Actor and Actor"), and Park Chan-il will participate in conversations with the audience.
Music videos by "Interstellar 5555" (Daft Punk x Leiji Matsumoto), Idiotape, and Balming Tiger will also be screened, offering a unique experience that fuses music and video.
"Request Cinema": Audiences Create Their Own Films… 13 Films Selected
"Request Cinema" is a representative participatory program where audiences directly select the films to be screened and participate in the planning and operation of the program. This year, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Busan International Film Festival, 13 films were selected through a vote of 5,268 viewers from previous festivals.
Shunji Iwai's "All About Lily Chou-Chou" and Hirokazu Kore-eda's "Our Little Sister" will be screened, and online discussions with the directors will also be held.
Also, actors Kang Dong-won and Ha Ji-won from "Duelist" (celebrating its 20th anniversary), Kim Nam-gil and Kim Jung-hyun from "The Shameless" (celebrating its 10th anniversary), and Kim Jung-hyun from "Overman" will be in attendance to share memories with the audience.
"All-Day Cinema": A Three-Day Thematic Exploration
'All-Day Cinema' is a special exhibition that explores specific themes or commonalities through a full day of intensive screenings.
On Friday, the 19th, "Local & Social DAY" will feature participation from the Busan University of Foreign Studies Global Marketing Center, the Busan Metropolitan City Social Welfare Council, and the Busan Technical High School Alumni Association, encouraging the challenges faced by young people and the local community.
On Saturday, the 20th, "Bechdel Choice & WDN DAY" will highlight gender equality and the realities of filmmaking in collaboration with the Directors Guild of Korea (DGK) and the Women Directors Network (WDN).
On Sunday, the 21st, "Science DAY" will feature a program combining science fiction films with the imagination of science in collaboration with the Busan Science and Culture Hub.
A wealth of audience engagement programs, including Blind Cinema and Master Talks
"Blind Cinema," which screens guest-recommended films without revealing their titles or information, will feature films recommended by director Jeong Seong-il and writer Seong Hae-na ("Honmono"). In "Master Talk," director Jang Jae-hyun and actor Park Jung-min will share behind-the-scenes stories of "Svaha: The Sixth Finger" and interact with the audience in real time.
In addition, various interactive programs are planned, including "Kirby Road," which reminisces about the 1996 film festival, and "Chwisaengmongsa," a late-night screening where you can enjoy food and movies in a relaxed atmosphere.
Community BIFFs Across Busan… From Nampo-dong to Haeundae and Neighborhood BIFFs
The 30th Busan International Film Festival will be held from Wednesday, October 17th to Friday, October 26th at the Busan Cinema Center.
"Community BIFF" will be held in Nampo-dong, Jung-gu, from Thursday, October 18th to Sunday, October 21st, while "Neighborhood BIFFs" will be held across Busan from Thursday, October 18th to Thursday, October 25th. Ticket sales open at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 5th, along with the opening and closing ceremonies.
