군은 지난 1월부터 8월까지 10% 캐시백을 운영했으며, 이번 상향은 정부 2차 추경을 통해 국비가 추가 지원되면서 가능해졌다. 구매 한도는 9월·11월·12월에는 월 50만 원, 추석이 있는 10월에는 100만 원으로 지난해와 동일하게 유지된다.
군 관계자는 “긴 추석 연휴를 앞두고 내수 소비를 촉진하고, 소상공인과 군민이 함께하는 상생 소비 분위기를 조성하기 위해 마련한 것”이라며 “이번 할인율 상향을 통해 전통시장 활성화 등 다양한 효과가 기대된다”고 말했다.
손병복 울진군수는 “울진사랑카드 인센티브율 상향으로 가계 부담을 덜고 지역 내 소비를 촉진해 군민과 소상공인이 함께 상생하는 분위기를 만들겠다”고 강조했다.
