세종시가 4일 마을공동체 신규 발굴 및 활성화를 위한 2025년 마을공동체 새싹교육 수료식을 개최했다.
시에 따르면 새싹교육은 마을공동체 활동에 관심은 있지만 경험이 없는 시민들을 위한 맞춤형 기초 교육과정이다.
앞서 시는 지난 7월 참여자 20명을 모집하고 8월부터 3주에 걸쳐 관련 교육을 진행해왔다.
특히 전문 강사와 함께 공동체 기본 개념을 체계적으로 배우고 우리 마을에 필요한 사업을 직접 발굴·계획해 보는 실습 중심으로 진행돼 교육생들의 만족도가 높았다.
이날 수료식에서는 모두 15명의 교육생이 수료증을 전달받았다.
이 교육을 수료한 시민 황규선(48) 씨는 “우리 마을을 위한 봉사를 어떻게 시작해야 할지 막막했는데, 이번 교육을 통해 앞으로 나아갈 길을 찾게됐다”며 “내년도 마을공동체 공모사업에 꼭 도전할 것”이라고 말했다.
마을공동체 육성지원사업은 2025년 기준 5인 이상의 공익적 활동을 하는 마을공동체를 대상으로 300만 원에서 최대 1,000만 원까지 사업 추진을 위한 보조금을 지원하는 사업이다.
이 교육을 수료한 주민들은 2026년 마을공동체 육성지원사업 신청 시 가점을 받게 된다.
박대순 시민소통과장은 “이번 교육이 사람과 사람 사이를 연결하는 공동체 활동을 처음 시작하는 데 도움이 되었길 바란다”면서 “앞으로도 마을공동체 활성화를 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

Residents who complete this training will receive additional points when applying for the Village Community Development Support Project in 2026.
