브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 대우건설이 지난 9일 경기도 시흥 주택 현장에서 발생한 사망사고와 관련해 김보현 대표이사 명의의 사과문을 발표했다.
대우건설은 “어제(9일) 오후 당사의 경기도 시흥 주택 현장에서 소중한 생명을 잃은 불행한 사고가 있었다”며 “무엇보다 고인의 명복을 빌며, 유가족 여러분께 이루 말할 수 없는 슬픔과 고통을 드린 점, 진심으로 사죄드린다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “당사는 이번 사고에 대해 관계기관의 조사에 협조를 다하고 그 결과를 겸허히 받아들이겠다”며 “불의의 사고를 당하신 고인과 슬픔에 빠져 있을 유가족께도 할 수 있는 모든 책임과 의무를 다하도록 하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

이 외에도 보건관리활동을 강화하고, 외국인 근로자에 대한 관리 방안을 더욱 촘촘히 마련할 계획이다.
대우건설은 “다시 한 번 사고로 유명을 달리한 근로자분과 유가족분들, 그리고 국민 여러분께 고개 숙여 깊이 사과드린다”며 “이번 사태를 결코 잊지 않고, 다시는 이와 같은 불행한 일이 재발하지 않도록 전사적인 역량을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
한편, 앞서 지난 4일에는 대우건설 울산 플랜트 터미널 건설공사 현장에서 원인을 알 수 없는 이유로 근로자 1명이 쓰러져 즉시 병원으로 이송해 치료를 시작했으나, 끝내 당일 오후 9시경 사망한 바 있다.
