인천시에 따르면, 이번 시범사업은 부모의 돌봄 부담을 줄이고 돌봄 공백 해소를 위해 기존 교육부 시간제 보육 제도의 대상 연령과 운영 시간을 대폭 확대한 인천형 보육 정책이다.
생후 6개월부터 만 6세(7세 미취학 아동 포함)까지 이용할 수 있으며, 평일은 오전 7시 30분부터 오후 9시까지, 주말·공휴일은 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 돌봄 서비스를 제공한다.
이용 요금은 시간당 2,000원이며 월 이용 시간에 제한이 없다.
