한국농촌지도자세종시연합회, 폐농약기류 수거 나서

한국농촌지도자세종시연합회가 17일 세종시 읍면 농촌지역에서 건강한 먹거리 환경과 깨끗한 농촌을 조성하기 위해 폐농약기류 수거 활동을 펼쳤다.

농약을 사용한 뒤 방치되는 플라스틱병과 봉지 등은 토양과 수질을 크게 오염시키는 폐기물로 꼽힌다.

이에 한국농촌지도자세종시연합회는 이날 농촌지역 환경 보전 차원에서 폐농약 플라스틱병과 농약봉지 등을 집중 수거했다.

각 지역에서 수거한 폐농약 폐기물은 농업기술센터 하상주차장에서 분류작업을 거친 뒤 재활용돼 환경을 보존하는 자원 순환에 기여할 예정이다.

피옥자 세종시농업기술센터 소장은 “폐농약 플라스틱병과 봉지를 수거하는 일은 농업인 모두가 지구 환경을 지키는 작은 실천이자 2050 탄소중립 달성에 기여하는 것”이라며 “농촌지도자 회원들이 자율적 참여를 바탕으로 농촌 환경 지킴이 역할을 적극 펼쳐주셔서 감사하다”고 말했다.

한편, 농촌지도자세종시연합회는 약 600명의 회원이 토양개량제 살포, 폐비닐·폐플라스틱 수거·재활용, 벼 물관리 개선 등 다양한 탄소저감 활동을 꾸준히 추진하고 있다.
