이날 총회에서는 특수교육 여건 개선을 위한 학교 신설비 교부금 교부대상 확대, 학교건축물 기계설비유지관리자 선임 대응을 위한 교육부 주관 협의회 구성, 학교현장 재난유형별 교육·훈련 매뉴얼 개정 등 주요 현안도 함께 논의됐다.
