브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 넷마블은 오는 23일 모바일 MMORPG ‘블레이드 & 소울 레볼루션’에 네이버웹툰 인기 작품 ‘화산귀환’과의 콜라보레이션 업데이트를 실시한다고 19일 밝혔다.
‘화산귀환’은 동명의 웹소설을 원작으로 화산파 제자 ‘청명’이 마교 교주와의 대결에서 사망한 후, 100년 뒤 환생해 몰락한 화산파를 재건하는 과정을 그린 인기 무협 회귀물 웹툰이다. 무협을 소재로 한 ‘블레이드 & 소울 레볼루션’과의 높은 시너지를 바탕으로 이번 콜라보레이션이 성사됐다.
이번 업데이트를 통해 ‘화산귀환’에서 청명이 환생 전 천마와 최후의 전투를 벌였던 ‘십만대산’이 던전으로 구현되며, ‘청명’을 포함한 인기 캐릭터 8종이 수호신령으로 등장, 이용자들과 함께 게임 세계를 누비게 된다. 화산파 의상과 캐릭터 가면 등 다양한 콜라보레이션 아이템도 만나볼 수 있다.
넷마블은 콜라보레이션을 기념해 신규 부스팅 월드 ‘매화검존’, ‘화산신룡’을 오픈할 예정이다. 두 부스팅 서버에는 기존 ‘블레이드 & 소울 레볼루션’에서 볼 수 없었던 새로운 방식으로 캐릭터 육성을 지원할 예정이다. 홍문 50레벨부터 시작하는 기존의 부스팅 서버와 달리 레벨 1에서 시작해 레벨업 시 +2씩 추가로 성장하는 방식을 적용해, 빠른 성장 체감을 제공할 예정이다.
새로운 방식으로 운영되는 만큼 기존 ‘블레이드&소울 레볼루션’ 월드와 분리해 운영되며, 신규 서버 이용자들에게는 ‘제자 양성 풀세트’를 지급, 무기/장신구 장비 풀세트와 수호령·수호신령·보석·무공패&보패·수호신령 가호·낚싯대 등 핵심 아이템을 지원한다.
신규 서버에서는 무한 직업 변경 이벤트도 진행한다. 이를 통해 이용자들은 다양한 직업을 자유롭게 경험하며 자신에게 맞는 클래스를 선택할 수 있다.
