충남 부여군은 지난 20일 무량사 5층 석탑 앞 특설무대에서 ‘무량사 미륵괘불 국보 지정서 전달식’과 제13회 산사음악회를 열고 지역의 대표 문화유산을 널리 알리는 자리를 마련했다고 23일 밝혔다.
행사는 부여군이 주최하고 무량사가 주관했으며, 국가유산청장을 비롯해 충청남도와 지역 정치권 관계자, 군민 등 1,000여 명이 함께했다. 기념식은 부여군 충남국악단의 식전 공연을 시작으로 괘불도 제막, 경과보고, 지정서 전달 순으로 진행됐다.
뒤이어 열린 산사음악회에서는 대중가수와 국악인이 무대에 올라 다양한 장르의 공연을 선보였다. 출연진은 국보 승격의 의미를 군민과 공유하며 축제의 장을 마무리했다.
부여군은 이번 행사를 통해 무량사 미륵불 괘불도를 비롯한 다채로운 국가유산의 가치를 지역사회와 함께 나누고, 문화적 자긍심을 높이는 계기가 됐다고 평가했다. 군은 앞으로도 무량사와 국가유산청, 지역 주민과 협력해 문화재 보존과 활용에 최선을 다할 방침이다.
