공간 부문에서는 모든 예술장르를 아우르는 전문 전시공간, 시민 참여형 생애주기별 학습공간, 보존 기준을 충족하는 지속가능한 수장공간, 휴식과 교류가 가능한 열린 공용공간을 구현한다.
미술관의 공식 명칭은 시민과 전문가가 참여하는 공론화 과정을 거쳐 확정되며, 이를 기반으로 한 MI 체계는 미술관의 정체성과 비전을 시각적으로 구현하는 핵심 도구가 된다.
