브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 삼양식품이 민족 대명절 추석을 맞아 취약계층 지원을 위한 기부활동을 서울, 익산, 원주 등에서 순차적으로 진행한다고 26일 밝혔다. 이번 활동은 삼양식품이 꾸준히 이어오고 있는 지역 나눔 활동의 일환이다.
삼양식품은 성북구에 위치한 삼양라운드스퀘어를 중심으로 장애인 및 취약계층을 위해 성북구장애인단체연합회, 성북구장애인체육회, 굿네이버스 서울북부사업본부에 총 240박스의 라면을 전달했다. 익산공장 인근 모현동·신동 행정복지센터에서도 기부가 진행됐으며, 오는 10월 1일에는 원주공장이 위치한 원주시 우산동 행정복지센터에서 추가 기부 행사가 예정돼 있다.
이번 기부로 전달되는 라면은 지역 내 도움이 필요한 취약계층과 장애인 가정에 직접 전달될 계획이다.
삼양식품 관계자는 “민족 대명절을 앞두고 이웃들이 풍성한 한가위를 보내길 바라는 마음으로 기부를 진행했다”며 “앞으로도 ESG 실천 기업으로서 지역 사회와 함께하는 다양한 상생 활동을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

Samyang Foods Supports Vulnerable Groups for Chuseok, Aiming for Mutual Growth with Local Communities
Samyang Foods announced on the 26th that it will conduct donation drives to support vulnerable groups in Seoul, Iksan, and Wonju during the Korean Thanksgiving holiday. This initiative is part of Samyang Foods' ongoing community giving efforts.
Samyang Foods donated a total of 240 boxes of ramen to the Seongbuk-gu Association of Organizations for Persons with Disabilities, the Seongbuk-gu Sports Association for Persons with Disabilities, and the Good Neighbors Seoul Northern Business Headquarters, focusing on the Samyang Round Square in Seongbuk-gu. Donations were also made at the Mohyeon-dong and Sindong Administrative Welfare Centers near the Iksan plant, and an additional donation event is scheduled for October 1st at the Usan-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Wonju, where the Wonju plant is located.
The ramen delivered through this donation will be delivered directly to vulnerable groups and families with disabilities in the local community.
A Samyang Foods official said, “We made the donation in the hopes that our neighbors would have a bountiful Chuseok ahead of the nation’s biggest holiday,” and added, “As an ESG-practicing company, we will continue to engage in various mutually beneficial activities with the local community.”
