브레이크뉴스 노보림 기자= 서울 여의도 한강공원에서 열리는 ‘서울세계불꽃축제’가 하루 앞으로 다가왔다.
행정안전부는 불꽃축제를 보기위한 인파가 100만명 안팎으로 몰릴 것으로 예상, 관계 기관과 합동으로 철저한 안전관리에 나설 방침이다.
올해로 21회를 맞은 서울세계불꽃축제는 매년 100만명 이상이 찾는 국내 대표 가을 축제다. 행사는 오후 7시 개막식을 시작으로 오후 8시 30분까지 화려한 불꽃쇼가 이어질 예정이다.
행안부는 “올해도 여의도 한강공원과 인근 주요 지점에 대규모 인파가 몰릴 것으로 예상된다”며 “인파 사고 예방을 위한 빈틈없는 안전관리가 필요하다”고 강조했다.
이에 따라 행안부는 경찰, 소방 등 관계기관과 함께 인파 관리, 상황 관리, 교통 관리, 응급 구조 등 전반에 걸친 사전점검을 진행하고 있다. 점검 과정에서 발견된 위험 요인은 축제 시작 전까지 보완해 관람객 안전을 확보할 방침이다.
경찰은 기동대 2200여 명(37개 부대)과 기동순찰대 100여 명(22개 팀)을 포함한 총 3448명을 동원, 인파 밀집이 우려되는 여의도한강공원 천상계단, 마포대교 북단 나들목, 거북선나루터, 용양봉저정공원 등에 경찰력이 집중 배치할 예정이다.
또한 축제 당일 오후 2시부터 10시까지 여의동로는 차량이 전면 통제된다. 여의나루로와 국제금융로 등 5개 구역에서도 탄력적 통제가 시행된다.
여의나루역 등 일부 지하철역은 인파 혼잡 정도에 따라 출입 통제나 무정차 통과가 이뤄질 수 있다.
이와함께 한강 교량이나 강변북로·올림픽대로 등 자동차 전용도로에서의 불법 주·정차에 대해서도 강력한 단속을 예고했다.
축제 당일에는 김광용 행안부 재난안전관리본부장이 직접 현장을 찾아 안전대책 점검회의를 주재하고, 최종 안전관리 상황을 확인할 예정이다.
