봉화군은 오는 10월 18일 송이축제 특설무대에서 ‘제1회 전국 이몽룡 선발대회’ 본선을 개최한다고 30일 밝혔다. 이번 대회는 청렴과 정의, 올곧은 기개를 지닌 현대판 이몽룡을 찾는 새로운 문화 콘텐츠로 주목받고 있다.
대회 참가 자격은 전국의 20~30대 미혼 남성으로, 지난 4월부터 접수한 결과 1·2차 예선을 거쳐 20명이 본선 무대에 올랐다. 본선에서는 질의응답을 통해 참가자들이 생각하는 ‘현대의 청백리상’을 발표하며 최종 수상자를 가린다.
이날 무대에는 초대가수 손태진, 글로벌춘향이 선발대회 진(眞) 수상자 김도연, 글로벌가요제 대상 수상자 코스탄 히스테 등이 함께해 춘향과 몽룡의 상징적 재회를 완성한다.
최종 대상 수상자에게는 ‘몽룡상’과 상금 700만 원이 주어지며, 봉화군 홍보대사로서 축제·농특산물·관광 홍보 등 다양한 활동에 참여하게 된다.
박현국 봉화군수는 “이번 대회는 봉화의 역사와 정체성을 청년의 시선으로 재조명하는 뜻깊은 자리”라며 “지역문화와 청년세대가 어우러지는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
