한울본부는 9월 29일 울진바지게시장에서 장보기 행사를 열고, 임직원들이 조성한 ‘러브펀드’를 통해 마련한 5,300만 원 상당의 농수특산물을 구입해 지역사회에 기부했다. 이번 나눔으로 지역 내 취약계층 400가구와 복지시설 13곳에 물품이 전달됐다.
평해노인요양원 서정묵 원장은 “한울본부의 세심한 정성이 어르신들의 마음을 따뜻하게 채워줄 것 같다”며 “오늘의 나눔으로 받은 온기를 오래도록 기억하겠다”고 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
이에 대해 이세용 본부장은 “직원들의 자발적인 참여로 마련된 기금이 주민들에게 보탬이 돼 기쁘다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 온정을 나누는 활동을 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
