국내 최대 규모의 국제사진전시회 '대구사진비엔날레'가 눈길을 끈다. '생명의 울림'을 주제로 약 30개국 200여 작가의 작품 700여 점을 선보이는 이번 전시는 추석 당일을 빼고 연휴 내내 대구문화예술회관에서 볼 수 있다.

대구미술관에서는 지역 출신이자 한국 현대미술의 거장인 이강소 화백의 회고전 '곡수지유'가 열린다.
전국적인 주목을 받고 있는 대구간송미술관은 광복 80주년 기념 기획전 '삼청도도-매·죽·난, 멈추지 않는 이야기'로 우리 민족의 정신적, 문화적 힘을 담은 작품을 선보인다.

공연도 풍성하다. 신천 수변무대에서 토요시민콘서트가, 코오롱 야외음악당에서는 판타지아대구페스타 가을축제인 '2025 대구예술제'가 열린다. 동성로 일대에서는 청년버스킹이 펼쳐진다.

가을밤 색다른 공연을 즐기고 싶다면 '2025 대구국제힐링공연예술제'를 찾으면 된다. 비수도권 유일 공연 거리인 대명공연거리와 도심 곳곳의 공연장에서 다양한 연극을 즐길 수 있다.
체험 프로그램과 이벤트도 다채롭다. 대구근대역사관과 국립대구박물관은 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 연, 노리개 만들기와 전통놀이 체험행사를 마련했다. 국립대구과학관은 과학문화 체험·전시와 과학문화예술 공연을 운영한다.
이월드에서는 귀성길 버스·기차 이용 승차권 인증 할인과 가족 특가 할인을 제공한다. 대구문화예술진흥원은 스탬프투어 앱을 통해 대구 주요 관광지 스탬프 인증 시 추첨을 통해 치킨, 커피 쿠폰을 주는 이벤트를 진행한다.
대구체육관에서는 10월 4일 한국가스공사 페가수스(대구)와 삼성 썬더스(서울)의 프로농구 경기도 열린다.
대구시는 추석 당일을 빼고 대구시티투어를 정상 운영하고, 관광안내소 4곳(대구공항, 동대구역, 동성로, 이월드)은 연휴 기간 내내 문을 연다.
이재성 대구시 문화체육관광국장은 "이번 추석 연휴는 판타지아대구페스타 가을축제와 맞물려 시민들은 물론 대구를 찾는 방문객들이 즐길 수 있는 콘텐츠를 풍성하게 준비했다"며 "가족, 친지들이 함께 문화와 예술을 즐기는 소중한 시간이 되길 바란다"고 말했다.

The city of Daegu has prepared a variety of cultural events for citizens and visitors during the Chuseok holiday.
The Daegu Photo Biennale, Korea's largest international photography exhibition, is attracting attention. Themed "Echoes of Life," the exhibition features approximately 700 works by 200 artists from approximately 30 countries and will be on view at the Daegu Culture and Arts Center throughout the holiday, excluding Chuseok itself.
The Daegu Art Museum will present "Goksujiyu," a retrospective of Lee Kang-so, a local artist and master of Korean modern art.

Enjoy a variety of plays at Daemyeong Performance Street, the only performance street outside the Seoul metropolitan area, and at venues throughout the city.
A variety of hands-on programs and events await. The Daegu Modern History Museum and the National Daegu Museum offer family-friendly activities like kite and norigae (Korean traditional ornament) making and traditional games. The National Daegu Science Museum hosts science and culture experiences, exhibitions, and performances.
E-World offers discounts on bus and train tickets for returning home, as well as special family discounts. The Daegu Culture and Arts Foundation is hosting a raffle where visitors can win chicken and coffee coupons through the Stamp Tour app, which allows them to collect stamps from major Daegu tourist attractions.
The Daegu Gymnasium will also host a professional basketball game on October 4th between the Korea Gas Corporation Pegasus (Daegu) and the Samsung Thunders (Seoul).
Daegu City will operate the Daegu City Tour as usual except for Chuseok Day, and four tourist information centers (Daegu Airport, Dongdaegu Station, Dongseong-ro, and E-World) will remain open throughout the holiday period.
Lee Jae-seong, Director of the Daegu City Culture, Sports, and Tourism Bureau, said, "This Chuseok holiday, in conjunction with the Fantasia Daegu Festa Fall Festival, offers a wealth of content for both citizens and visitors to Daegu to enjoy. I hope this will be a precious time for families and friends to enjoy culture and art together."
