대전문화재단의 2025 예술창작지원사업에 선정된 청년극단 쓰리랑카타이거가 연극 [파운데이션]을 10월 1일부터 4일까지 대전드림아트홀에서 공연한다.
이번 작품은 1925년 미국 테네시주에서 벌어진 ‘스콥스 재판’을 모티브로 했다. 과학을 억압하고 불의를 합리화했던 실제 사건을 바탕으로, 인간의 근본과 휴머니즘의 충돌에서 비롯되는 긴장과 질문을 무대 위에서 풀어낸다. 극단은 이를 통해 관객들이 진정한 ‘인간다움’의 의미를 되새길 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 한다.
이번 공연은 2022년 차세대 아티스타에 선정된 극작가 이정수가 기획과 집필을 맡았으며, 연출은 최한솔이, 출연에는 최승완, 손정은, 노현수, 김광원, 이진아, 김은혁, 송혜지가 참여한다. 공연은 4일간 매일 오후 7시 30분에 열리며, 예매는 인터파크티켓과 현장 구매가 가능하다.
대전문화재단은 앞으로도 청년부터 원로 예술인까지 폭넓게 지원하며 지역 공연예술 생태계 활성화와 창작 기반 확산에 힘쓸 계획이라고 밝혔다.

The youth theater company Three Lanka Tigers, selected for the Daejeon Cultural Foundation's 2025 Arts Creation Support Project, will present the play "Foundation" at the Daejeon Dream Art Hall from October 1st to 4th.
This work is inspired by the Scopes Trial, which took place in Tennessee in 1925. Based on a true story of the suppression of science and the rationalization of injustice, the play explores the tension and questions arising from the clash between the fundamentals of humanity and humanism. Through this, the theater company aims to provide audiences with an opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of "humanity."
This performance was planned and written by playwright Lee Jeong-su, who was selected as a Next Generation Artist in 2022. It is directed by Choi Han-sol and stars Choi Seung-wan, Son Jeong-eun, Noh Hyun-soo, Kim Kwang-won, Lee Jin-ah, Kim Eun-hyuk, and Song Hye-ji. Performances will be held daily at 7:30 PM for four days, and tickets can be purchased through Interpark Ticket or on-site.
