이번 대회에는 혁신 분야 42건, 적극행정 분야 47건 등 총 89건의 사례가 출품됐으며, 공단은 지역 대학인 한동대학교와 협업해 개발한 ‘녹색성장을 위한 IoT 원격관수개발시스템’을 통해 수상의 영예를 안았다.
공단은 북구청사 도시숲(5,886㎡)의 관수 업무에 IoT 기술을 도입해 기존의 수동 방식에서 사무실 내 PC 기반의 원격제어 방식으로 전환했다. 이를 통해 관수의 사각지대를 줄이고 신속한 대응이 가능하도록 개선했으며, 태양광 패널과 배터리를 활용한 전력 공급 시스템을 구축해 친환경 경영을 실현했다.
이번 사례는 업무 효율성과 자원 관리 품질을 동시에 높였다는 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다. 또한 한동대학교 산학협력단과의 업무협약을 통해 지역 대학과의 연계를 강화하고, 관내 공공기관과의 협력 체계 구축을 통해 지속 가능한 지역 상생발전을 도모한 점도 긍정적인 요소로 작용했다.
김복조 포항시시설관리공단 이사장은 “이번 수상은 디지털 전환 시대에 지역 대학과의 협력을 통해 이룬 성과로, 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 시민이 체감할 수 있는 혁신을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The Corporation won the award for its "IoT Remote Irrigation Development System for Green Growth," developed in collaboration with Handong Global University, a local university.
The Corporation introduced IoT technology to the irrigation system of the Buk-gu Office's urban forest (5,886㎡), switching from the previous manual method to a remote control system based on an office PC. This improved irrigation system reduced blind spots and enabled faster response times. Furthermore, the Corporation implemented a power supply system utilizing solar panels and batteries, realizing eco-friendly management practices.
This project received high praise for simultaneously improving work efficiency and resource management quality. Furthermore, strengthening ties with local universities through a business agreement with Handong Global University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and establishing a cooperative system with public institutions within the district to promote sustainable, mutually beneficial regional development also served as positive factors.
