정 장관은 1일, 페이스북에서 “윤 전 대통령은 법정에 나와 수용실에서 ‘서바이벌’(생존)이 어렵다고 하고, 변호인단은 구치소 식사를 트집 잡아 밥투정을 부리고 있다”며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 “구치소에 투룸 배정과 배달앱(애플리케이션)이라도 설치해달라고 요구하는 것은 아닌지 참 뻔뻔하고 후안무치한 태도”라며 “윤 전 대통령은 자신이 대한민국을 전복시키려 한 내란혐의로 구속돼 구치소에 수감된 신분이라는 것을 잊지 말길 바란다”고 직격 비판했다.
이어 “(윤석열은) 호텔에 숙박하고 있는 것이 아니다”라며 “또 최소한 특검의 소환, 영장집행, 재판 출석 등 사법절차에 협조나 하면서 수용자의 권리를 말하는 것이 전직 검찰총장이자 법조인으로서의 기본자세일 것”이라고 질타했다.
아울러 “윤 전 대통령에 대한 처우는 개별 관리가 필요한 경우를 제외하고는, 다른 수용자들과 철저하게 동일하게 적용되고 있음을 다시 한번 분명히 밝힌다”며 “지난 1차 구속 때와 같은 은밀하고 부당한 특혜를 기대해서는 안 된다”고 경고했다.
