브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 농심이 오는 14일 스낵 신제품 ‘포테토칩 K-양념치킨맛’을 출시한다. 전 세계에서 사랑받는 한국식 양념치킨의 매콤달콤한 풍미를 바삭한 감자칩에 담은 포테토칩 ‘포슐랭가이드’ 네 번째 시리즈다.
최근 전 세계적으로 K푸드 인기가 높아지면서, 담백한 치킨에 양념을 곁들인 한국식 양념치킨이 주목받고 있다. 농림축산식품부가 2024년 발표한 해외 한식 소비자 조사에서도 ‘한국식 치킨’이 라면과 함께 최근 1년간 자주 먹은 K푸드 중 하나로 꼽혔다.
농심은 K-양념치킨 특유의 매콤달콤한 소스 맛을 구현하기 위해, 고추장과 간장, 마늘 등 핵심 재료의 풍미를 살린 전용 시즈닝을 개발했다.
농심 포테토칩 K-양념치킨맛은 전국 유통점 및 이커머스에서 판매될 예정이다.
농심은 포테토칩 K-양념치킨맛 출시에 맞춰 KBO와 협업해 야구 마케팅을 진행한다. 10월 KBO 포스트시즌 매 경기 결승타 주인공을 ‘포테토칩 선정 오늘의 포텐터짐’으로 뽑아, 상금과 함께 포테토칩 K-양념치킨맛을 증정할 계획이다.
농심 관계자는 “포테토칩 K-양념치킨맛은 한국식 양념치킨의 풍미와 감자칩의 바삭함이 어우러진 스낵”이라며 “앞으로 포테토칩을 통해 국내외 소비자들이 선호하는 다양한 메뉴를 적용한 감자칩을 선보일 것이다”고 말했다.
한편, 농심은 2023년부터 포테토칩 ‘포슐랭가이드’ 프로젝트를 통해 다양한 맛을 감자칩에 담아 선보이고 있다. 그동안 외식 브랜드와 협업한 데 이어, 올해부터는 한국의 맛을 담은 K푸드 메뉴를 포테토칩으로 구현해 브랜드 가치를 확장해 나갈 계획이다.
