문화예술기획 릴프(LYLF)는 오는 14일부터 19일까지 봉산문화회관 1전시실에서 기획전 <닿지 않는 곳 (Unreachable Place)>을 연다. 대구문화예술진흥원 지속전시지원에 선정된 전시로, 대구·경북을 기반으로 활동하는 작가 5명과 청년 기획자(백지혜)가 함께 한다.
작품에 표현되지 않은 작업 세계를 AI 기술로 구현함으로써 전시장에서 작가가 보여주지 않았던 세계를 펼쳐낸다.
특히 단순한 예술과 기술의 융합을 넘어, 예술의 무한한 잠재력과 예술가의 시대적 과제를 함께 탐구한다. 기술 발전 시대에 전통 예술이 어떤 방식으로 자리매김할 수 있는지, 예술이 보여주지 못한 세계는 어디에 존재하는지 질문을 던진다.

전시 <닿지 않는 곳>은 AI 기술을 작가가 아닌 기획자가 사용함으로써 새로운 시각이 더해진 점이 돋보인다. 참여작가들의 기존 작업의 서사와 이미지를 바탕으로, AI를 활용해 표현되지 않았던 세계를 확장한다.
청년 기획자와 작가그룹의 지속적인 협력과 유대관계 위에서 기획되었다는 의미도 크다. 단순한 전시 협업을 넘어, 예술가와 기획자가 함께 성장하며 만들어내는 공동의 성과로 확장된다.
참여 작가는 강현경, 박수미, 손은진, 이희령, 홍희령 다섯 명. 2000년대부터 여성 작가그룹 '프리 컨셉(Free Concept)'으로 활동해왔다. 각기 다른 표현 방식으로 '시간'이라는 공통된 키워드가 담긴 서사를 추구한다.
1부 오프라인 전시와 2부 온라인 전시로 구성된다. 물리적 공간에서 디지털 공간으로의 전환을 통해 직접적으로 닿지 못하는 영역으로의 감각적 경험을 유도한다.

강현경 작가의 전시 주제는 '바라보다'. 존재와 부재, 현실과 꿈의 경계를 성찰하고 의인화된 동물들을 통해 삶의 감정과 상황을 보여준다.
박수미 작가는 시간의 축적과 리듬을 시각화한다. 한지를 꼬아 반복적으로 응집시키는 작업에서 무정하지만 숭고한 시간의 힘을 담아낸다.

손은진 작가의 주제는 '생명'이다. 선인장과 누에고치는 자기 존재와 생명의 의미를 탐구하는 매개체로 표현된다.
이희령 작가는 한지를 비정형적으로 찢어 겹겹이 붙이고 색을 중첩시키는 작업을 한다. 오방색의 상징성은 응축된 에너지의 힘을 상징한다.
