오는 18일부터 19일까지 이틀간 임진각관광지에서 제20회 파주개성인삼축제가 열린다.
파주시는 이번 축제가 체험과 먹거리 공간을 대폭 확장하고 다채로운 프로그램을 마련해 예년보다 한층 풍성해질 것이라고 밝혔다.

올해로 20회를 맞는 파주개성인삼축제는 파주의 대표 농산물인 파주장단삼백(쌀, 콩, 인삼) 중 하나인 6년근 파주개성인삼을 비롯해 다양한 파주 농특산물 및 가공품을 널리 알리고 판매하는 파주의 대표 농산물 축제다.
특히 축제에 출품되는 인삼은 모두 6년근으로, 재배부터 수확, 선별까지 전 과정에 공무원이 입회해 철저하게 품질을 관리한 것이 특징이다.
