【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주 시민들의 대표 산책 명소임 호암물정원 일원에서 오는 18일 ‘2025년 호암직동체육회’가 열린다.
호암직동체육회(회장 권기철)가 주관하는 이번 행사는 지역 주민의 건강 증진과 이웃간 화합을 도모하기 위한 자리로 올해로 4회째를 맞이한다.
걷기대회는 호암물정원 산책로에서 출발해 호암택지를 거쳐 다시 호암물정원으로 돌아오는 총 3.3km 구간으로 진행된다.
길잡이의 안내에 따라 산책하듯 천천히 걸으며 가을 정취를 만끽할 수 있어 남녀노소 누구나 참여 가능하다.
참가 희망자는 행사 당일 오전 9시 30분부터 현장에서 배부하는 손목띠를 착용하면 되며, 코스 완주자 전원에게는 완주기념품과 간식이 제공된다.
또한 행사장에서는 고고장구 공연과 향토가수들의 무대 등 다채로운 축하공연이 펼쳐지고, 푸짐한 경품추첨 이벤트도 함께 진행돼 참여의 즐거움을 더할 예정이다.
권기철 체육회장은 “올 여름 유난히 길었던 폭염으로 지친 주민들이 이번 걷기대회를 통해 몸과 마음에 활력을 되찾는 시간이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
유의숙 호암직동장은 “청명한 가을날, 가족과 이웃이 함께 걷는 이번 행사가 건강도 챙기고 행복도 나누는 시간이 되길 바란다”며 “많은 시민들께서 함께 참여해 호암물정원의 아름다움을 만끽하며 즐거운 추억을 만들어 주시길 기대한다”고 말했다.
