이번 축제는 금수산감골단풍축제추진위원회(위원장 박완수)가 주관하고 단양군이 후원했으며, 금수산의 수려한 단풍 절경과 감골 감나무길을 배경으로 다채로운 볼거리와 체험행사가 마련돼 가을 정취를 한층 더했다.
이날 축제는 금수산 산행 행사를 시작으로 산신제, 개막식, 축하공연, 체험부스 운영 등이 이어지며 방문객들의 뜨거운 호응을 얻었다.
특히 특별 이벤트로 진행된 ‘금 한돈을 잡아라’와 ‘도전! 금수산 최강 산악회’가 큰 인기를 끌었으며 오색 염색 체험, 단풍잎 책갈피 만들기, 떡메치기 등 가족 단위 체험 부스에도 많은 이들의 발길이 이어졌다.
또한 지역의 농·특산물 판매 부스에도 방문객들의 관심이 집중돼 지역경제 활성화에도 기여했다.
축제장을 찾은 한 관광객은 “도심을 벗어나 금수산의 가을 정취를 만끽할 수 있어 좋았다”며 “주민들이 직접 참여해 따뜻한 정이 느껴지는 축제였다”고 소감을 전했다.
