군은 10월 22일부터 2026년 1월 19일까지 ‘울진군 오션리조트 및 골프장 개발사업’ 사업시행자 공모를 본격 추진한다고 23일 밝혔다.
이번 공모는 지난 7월 민간제안 공모에서 우수 제안자를 선정한 후, 실질적인 민간사업자를 확정하고 투자 실행 단계에 들어가는 중요한 단계다. 군은 2026년 1월 중 사업시행자를 확정할 계획이다.
사업 대상지는 근남면 산포리 697-4 일원 약 18만㎡와 매화면 오산리 산200번지 일원 약 134만㎡이며, 필수시설로 호텔·콘도미니엄 300실 이상, 지역 수요를 반영한 컨벤션 시설, 18홀 이상 골프장이 포함된다. 이외에도 민간사업자는 창의적인 복합 관광·레저시설을 자유롭게 제안할 수 있다.
울진군은 사업 추진과 함께 관련 인허가 검토와 투자유치 여건 조성을 병행하며, 민간 투자가 안정적으로 이루어질 수 있는 기반 마련에 집중하고 있다. 이를 통해 민간 자본과 전문성을 결합한 실질적 투자가 실행될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
