한중교류촉진위원회(위원장 이창호)는 24일 성명을 통해 오는 2025년 APEC 정상회의의 성공적 개최를 위해 한중 양국이 공동 협력 의지를 굳게 다짐했다고 밝혔다.
위원회는 이번 APEC 주제인 ‘모든 이를 위한 회복력 있고 지속 가능한 미래’가 시대정신을 반영한 만큼, 한국과 중국이 경쟁이 아닌 협력, 대립이 아닌 공존의 모델을 만들어가야 한다고 강조했다.
위원회는 특히 △경제·산업 분야의 상호보완적 협력 강화 △문화·인적 교류의 회복 및 확대 △지역 안정과 평화 기반 조성을 3대 핵심 과제로 제시했다.
반도체·배터리·AI·바이오 등 미래 산업에서의 공동 연구와 기술 협력, 그리고 탄소중립 실현을 위한 녹색성장 협력 네트워크 구축에도 적극 나설 계획이다.
이창호 위원장은 “한중 양국의 우호와 신뢰를 바탕으로 APEC이 상생과 번영의 전환점이 되길 바란다”며 “민간 외교의 힘으로 실질적 협력 성과를 만들어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Korea-China Exchange Promotion Committee (Chairman Lee Chang-ho) announced in a statement on the 24th that Korea and China have firmly pledged to cooperate for the successful hosting of the 2025 APEC Summit.
