【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=더불어민주당 대구시당 기초의원 협의회가 지난 25일 경주에서 2025년 APEC 정상회의의 성공적 개최를 기원하는 결의대회를 열고, 대구·경북의 공동 번영 방안을 모색했다.
이날 워크숍에는 김보경 대구시당 기초의원협의회장과 대구시당 소속 기초의원들, 한영태 경주시당위원장 등이 참석했다.
참석자들은 ‘APEC 성공 개최와 대구·경북의 경제적 기회’를 주제로 세미나를 진행하며, 지역경제 활성화와 정책 실천 과제에 대해 다양한 의견을 나눴다.
워크숍의 하이라이트로, 참석자들은 경주국립박물관 에밀레종 앞에서 ‘APEC 성공 개최 기원 결의문’을 발표했다.
이들은 결의문을 통해 “2025년 경주에서 열리는 APEC 정상회의가 대구·경북의 새로운 성장 동력이 되고, 상생과 지역경제 도약의 계기가 되길 기대한다”며 “지방의회 차원에서 성공 개최를 위한 적극적인 협력과 실천을 약속한다”고 밝혔다.
이어 참석자들은 경주 교촌마을과 경주국립박물관, 컨벤션센터 등 주요 APEC 개최 예정지를 돌아보며 지방의회의 역할과 지역경제 연계 방안에 대해 논의했다.
김보경 협의회장은 “이번 워크숍이 대구와 경주 간 지역 교류와 정책 공유를 강화하는 계기가 됐다”며 “APEC 정상회의의 성공적 개최를 통해 대구·경북이 함께 도약할 수 있도록 지방의회에서 적극적으로 협력하고 실천해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

As a highlight of the workshop, attendees presented a "Resolution Praying for the Success of APEC" in front of the Emile Bell at the Gyeongju National Museum.
In the resolution, they stated, "We hope that the 2025 APEC Summit in Gyeongju will become a new growth engine for Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and serve as an opportunity for mutual prosperity and a leap forward for the regional economy. We pledge active cooperation and action at the local council level to ensure the successful hosting of the summit."
Participants then toured key APEC venues, including Gyeongju Kyochon Village, Gyeongju National Museum, and the Convention Center, and discussed the role of local councils and ways to connect the local economy.
Council Chairperson Kim Bo-kyung stated, "This workshop served as an opportunity to strengthen regional exchange and policy sharing between Daegu and Gyeongju." She added, "The local council will actively cooperate and implement measures to ensure the successful hosting of the APEC Summit, enabling Daegu and Gyeongbuk to make a leap forward together."
