인천시에 따르면,‘인천 대학 청년 창업펀드’는 인천시와 관내 9개 대학(인천가톨릭대학교, 인천대학교, 인하대학교, 경인여자대학교, 인하공업전문대학, 재능대학교, 한국폴리텍Ⅱ대학, 연세대학교, 청운대학교)이 공동으로 15억 원을 출자해 조성한 지역 기반 대학 창업 특화 펀드다.
