구미시청 마라톤동호회, 경북도지사기 공무원마라톤대회 2연패 쾌거

【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=구미시청 마라톤동호회가 제14회 경상북도지사기 공무원마라톤대회에서 지난해에 이어 단체전 통합우승을 차지했다.

이번 대회는 지난 25일 경산 하양생활체육공원에서 경상북도 주최, 경산시 주관으로 열렸으며, 도내 22개 시·군과 소방본부 소속 공무원 등 300여 명이 참가했다. 10㎞ 코스를 제한시간 내 완주한 선수들에게 순위를 부여해 점수를 합산하는 방식으로 순위를 정한 결과, 구미시는 30명 전원이 완주하며 단체전 2연패의 위업을 달성했다.

개인전에서는 구미시 문화예술회관 소속 류연순 회원이 여자부 3위를 차지하며 팀 우승에 힘을 보탰다.

구미시청 마라톤동호회는 2001년 약 20여 명의 공무원으로 창립돼 현재까지 활발한 활동을 이어오고 있다. 올해에도 구미 박정희 마라톤대회, 영남일보 국제하프마라톤대회, 안동마라톤대회 등 전국 각지의 대회에 참가하며 우수한 성적을 거두고 구미시를 널리 알리는 홍보대사 역할을 해왔다.

장인수 마라톤동호회장은 “지난해에 이어 단체전 우승을 거둬 매우 기쁘다”며 “함께 완주한 회원들의 열정과 노력 덕분”이라며 “앞으로도 젊은 세대가 주축이 되어 동호회가 더욱 활발히 성장하길 기대한다”고 말했다.

The Gumi City Hall Marathon Club won the team event at the 14th Gyeongbuk Provincial Governor's Cup Civil Servants' Marathon for the second consecutive year.

The event, hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do and organized by Gyeongsan City, took place on the 25th at the Hayang Sports Park in Gyeongsan. Approximately 300 participants, including civil servants from 22 cities and counties in the province and fire departments, participated. Rankings were determined by adding up the scores of runners who completed the 10km course within the time limit. Gumi City achieved its second consecutive team victory, with all 30 members completing the race.

In the individual event, Ryu Yeon-sun, a member of the Gumi City Culture and Arts Center, placed third in the women's division, contributing to the team's victory.

The Gumi City Hall Marathon Club was founded in 2001 by approximately 20 public officials and has remained active ever since. This year, the club participated in competitions across the country, including the Gumi Park Chung-hee Marathon, the Yeongnam Ilbo International Half Marathon, and the Andong Marathon, achieving outstanding results and serving as a public relations ambassador for Gumi City.

Jang In-soo, president of the club, said, "We are very pleased to have won the team event for the second year in a row. This is thanks to the passion and effort of the members who completed the race together. I hope the club will continue to grow and thrive, with the younger generation at the forefront."
