대구과학고·광주과학고, 첫 ‘달빛 영재 체육교류전’ 성료

【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구과학고등학교(교장 이용호)는 1일 오후 1시부터 5시까지 교내 체육관과 수성구민운동장에서 광주과학고와 함께 ‘2025학년도 달빛 영재 체육교류전’을 성공적으로 개최했다.

이번 교류전은 두 학교가 처음으로 함께 연 행사로, 과학영재 학생들이 스포츠 활동을 통해 협동심과 인내심을 키우고 서로 소통하며 우정을 쌓는 데 목적을 뒀다.

행사는 축구와 농구 두 종목으로 진행됐다. 학생들은 승패를 떠나 한마음으로 경기에 뛰어들며 책임감과 공정함을 배웠다. 특히 이번 교류전은 ‘달빛(달구벌·빛고을)’이라는 이름처럼 지역 연합과 협력의 의미를 더했으며, 미래 과학 인재들이 체력과 인성을 고루 갖춘 인재로 성장하는 모습을 보여줬다.

이용호 교장은 “이번 교류전은 과학영재 학생들이 운동을 통해 협력과 존중, 공정함의 가치를 직접 경험하는 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 “앞으로도 지속적인 교류를 추진해 학생들이 학문적 역량뿐 아니라 인성과 공동체 의식도 함께 기를 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
