[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 오케이저축은행 읏맨 프로배구단의 ‘부산 첫 홈 개막전’이 오는 9일 오후 2시 강서실내체육관에서 열린다. 이번 경기는 읏맨 배구단이 부산으로 연고지를 이전한 뒤 처음 치르는 홈경기로, 지난 시즌 준우승팀인 대한항공 점보스와 맞붙는다.
개막전 행사와 경기 일정
개막전에는 박형준 부산시장, 최윤 구단주, 조원태 한국배구연맹 총재를 비롯해 4천여 명의 관람객이 참석할 예정이다. 본 경기 전에는 시즌 오프닝 영상 상영, 선수단 소개, 부산시장의 개회선언, 세 인사의 시구 행사가 순서대로 진행된다.
오후 2시 본격 시작되는 경기에선 신영철 감독이 이끄는 오케이 읏맨이 베테랑 공격수 전광인, 세터 이민규, 불가리아 대표 출신 디미트로프 등 주전 선수들을 앞세워 전통 강호 대한항공과 맞선다.
부산 팬심 잡기 위한 노력
연고지 이전 이후 구단은 다양한 지역 밀착활동으로 부산 팬들과의 교감을 넓혀왔다. 강서실내체육관 보조경기장에서 운영 중인 유소년 배구교실은 8월 30일부터 매주 토요일 월 3회 진행 중이며, 9월 7일에는 부산 지역 중·고교 배구부 선수들이 참여한 특별 교실도 열렸다.
또 9월 21일 열린 2025-2026시즌 출정식에는 2,351명의 팬이 참석해 대한항공과의 이벤트 경기와 Q&A시간 등 풍성한 프로그램을 즐겼다. 이어 10월 17일부터 30일까지 롯데백화점 부산본점에서 운영된 ‘부산 읏맨 팝업스토어’에서는 다양한 굿즈 판매와 선수 팬사인회를 통해 시민들과 직접 소통했다.
부산시의 지원 및 배구 활성화 기대
부산시는 읏맨 배구단의 연고지 이전을 계기로 지역 프로스포츠 발전과 배구 저변 확대를 기대하고 있다. 시는 강서실내체육관의 시설 개선, 편의시설 확충 등으로 선수단 경기력을 높이고 개막전 및 정규리그 홍보도 지원 중이다. 아울러 앞으로도 배구 유망주 육성 등 엘리트체육과 생활체육의 균형 발전을 추구할 계획이다.
예매 안내 및 특전
개막전 관람 티켓은 한국배구연맹(KOVO) 공식 누리집에서 온라인 예매 가능하며, 경기 당일 현장 판매도 이뤄진다. 입장 관객 전원에게는 구단이 준비한 응원 티셔츠가 무료로 제공된다.

박형준 부산시장은 “지난 9월 출정식에서 확인했듯 시민들의 배구 열기가 어느 때보다 뜨겁다”며 “부산으로 연고지를 옮긴 첫 시즌에 읏맨이 우승 깃발을 들어올리길 기대한다”고 말했다.

The OK Financial Group Okman professional volleyball team will hold its first home opener in Busan at 2 p.m. on November 9 at the Gangseo Indoor Gymnasium. The game marks the team’s first home match since relocating its franchise to Busan and will pit the Okman against last season’s runners-up, the Korean Air Jumbos.
Opening Ceremony and Match Schedule
The event will welcome around 4,000 spectators, along with Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, OK Financial Group owner Choi Yoon, and Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) President Cho Won-tae. Before the match, the venue will feature the season’s opening video, team introductions, the mayor’s declaration of the opening, and a ceremonial serve thrown by the three guests.
Led by head coach Shin Young-chul, the Okman will take the court at 2 p.m. against a strong Korean Air squad. The Busan side will rely on key players including veteran spiker Jeon Kwang-in, setter Lee Min-gyu, and Bulgarian national player Dimitar Dimitrov.
Expanding Fan Engagement in Busan
Since the relocation, the team has launched a series of community-based activities to build local support. The youth volleyball program, operating three times a month since August 30 at the auxiliary gym in Gangseo Indoor Gymnasium, also held a special clinic on September 7 for middle and high school volleyball players in Busan.
A team kickoff event for the 2025–2026 season was held on September 21, drawing 2,351 fans for an exhibition match against Korean Air, Q&A sessions, and various fan activities. The club also ran a “Busan Okman Pop-up Store” at Lotte Department Store’s main Busan branch from October 17 to 30, where it sold official merchandise and hosted player autograph sessions.
City’s Support for Volleyball Development
The Busan Metropolitan Government views the team’s relocation as a boost for local professional sports and the volleyball scene. The city has upgraded facilities and amenities at Gangseo Indoor Gymnasium to enhance player performance and is supporting publicity for the opening and regular season games. It also plans to continue developing youth talent programs to foster both elite and community-level volleyball.
Ticketing and Giveaways
Tickets for the home opener are available through the official KOVO website and can also be purchased on-site on game day. All spectators will receive a complimentary fan T-shirt prepared by the team.
“The passion of Busan citizens for volleyball has never been stronger, as we saw during the team’s September kickoff,” said Mayor Park Heong-joon. “I look forward to seeing Okman raise the championship flag in their first season based in Busan.”
