[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주도시공사(사장 이흥규)는 지난 10월 31일(금) 양주도시공사 회의실에서 「2025년 제1회 양주도시공사 기술자문위원회」를 개최하고, 광역교통망 확충과 정부 주택공급정책에 대응하기 위해 양주시 개발전략에 근거한 공사의 개발 추진방안에 대하여 자문회의를 진행했다고 밝혔다.
이번 회의에는 지난 6월 17일(화) 위촉한 100인의 위원 중 도시, 교통, 부동산, 재무, 안전 등 5개 분야의 전문가 18인이 참석하여 양주시의 ▲동–서 균형발전 및 주변 개발사업 연계방안, ▲정부 주택공급 확대정책에 대한 대응전략 ▲광역교통망 확충에 따른 양주시 발전방향 등에 대하여 각 분야별 관점에서 실행 가능성과 정책 연계방안을 제시하는 등 뜻깊은 토론의 장이 되었다.
이흥규 사장은 인사말을 통해“도시개발의 방향과 사업성을 체계적으로 검토하고, 지역의 균형 있는 발전을 도모하기 위해 기술자문위원회를 개최하게 됐다”며, “이번 위원회가 공사와 외부 전문가가 함께하는 현장 중심의 실질적 자문기구로 자리매김하는 계기가 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.
양주도시공사는 이번 제1회를 시작으로, 사업의 기술적 리스크를 사전 차단하고 시민과의 신뢰를 높일 수 있는 기술자문체계를 공고히 해나갈 계획이다.
