【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교가 2026학년도부터 성인학습자를 위한 ‘도서관문예창작전공’을 신설하고, 새로운 융합 교육과정을 운영한다. 신입생 모집은 이달 7일부터 시작됐다.
이번에 신설되는 도서관문예창작전공은 문헌정보학과 문예창작을 접목한 실무 중심의 커리큘럼이 특징이다.
주요 과목으로는 문헌정보학개론, 공공도서관론, 독서지도, 그림책 읽기와 창작, 독립출판 프로젝트 등이 포함돼 있다.
최근 대구대표도서관 개관 등 공공도서관이 늘어나며 사서 인력의 수요가 증가하고 있는 가운데, 현장에 바로 투입될 수 있는 전문 인재 양성을 목표로 한다.
수업 방식은 주중에는 온라인으로, 주말에는 대면수업으로 운영돼 성인 학습자의 편의를 높였다. 졸업 시에는 국가공인 ‘준사서’ 자격증이 부여되며, 독서논술지도사, 그림책교육지도사, 독서심리상담사 등 다양한 자격증 취득도 가능하다.
특히 교육부가 실시한 대학 도서관 평가(전문대 A그룹, 재학생 4,000명 이상)에서 1위를 차지한 영진전문대학교 도서관과의 연계로 실습 및 북큐레이션 교육이 진행되는 점이 강점으로 꼽힌다.
송혜영 영진전문대학교 도서관장은 “현장 중심의 융합 교육과정과 온·오프라인 수업 방식을 통해 성인학습자의 사서직 진출을 적극 지원하겠다”며 “재취업 준비생과 퇴직자 등 인생 2막을 준비하는 이들을 위한 맞춤형 교육 프로그램도 확대할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

A particular strength is the collaboration with Yeungjin College Library, which ranked first in the Ministry of Education's university library evaluation (College Group A, 4,000+ students), offering hands-on training and book curation education.
Yeungjin College Library Director Song Hye-young stated, "We will actively support adult learners' advancement into librarianship through a field-oriented, integrated curriculum and a mix of online and offline classes. We also plan to expand customized training programs for those preparing for the second act of their lives, such as those preparing for re-employment and retirees."
