이재명 대통령이 오는 17일 7박 10일 일정으로 남아프리카공화국 G20(주요 20개국) 정상회의 참석차 출국해 26일까지 아랍에미리트(UAE)·이집트·튀르키예를 방문한다고 대통령실이 14일 전했다.
위성락 국가안보실장은 이날 오후 용산 대통령실 브리핑에서 "이 대통령은 17일부터 26일까지 남아공 G20 정상회의 참석과 이를 전후해 UAE·이집트·튀르키예 3국 방문길에 오른다"고 밝혔다.
올해 G20 정상회의는 오는 22일부터 남아공 요하네스버그에서 열리는 가운데 이 대통령은 첫날 1세션에서 경제 성장 역할·개발 지원, 2세션에서 재난 위험 경감·기후변화 등을 논의한다.
이어 오는 23일 3세션에서 혁신·양질 일자리·AI(인공지능) 등을 논의 후 남아공 현지 동포 간담회에 참석한다.
이 대통령은 G20 참석에 앞서 17일 UAE를 방문해 모하메드 빈 자이드 알 나하얀 대통령과 정상회담·국빈 오찬·방산 등 여러 분야 관련 업무협약(MOU) 서명식 등에 참석한다.
또 오는 20일 이집트를 방문해 압둘 팟타흐 시시 대통령과 정상회담·공식 오찬 참석등 일정을 소화한다.
