【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시체육회(회장 이재한)는 포항시체육회와 경상북도포항교육지원청(교육장 최한용)이 공동 주최한 ‘2025 포항시장기 및 교육장배 초·중·고 챔피언스리그’가 6월부터 11월까지 6개월간의 일정을 마치고 15일 양덕스포츠타운 축구장에서 열린 시상식을 끝으로 성공적으로 마무리되었다고 16일 밝혔다.
이날 시상식에는 포항시체육회 황병기 상임부회장, 포항교육지원청 허홍범 중등교육과장을 비롯한 초·중·고 학교장, 종목단체장, 선수 및 교사 등 400여 명이 참석했다. 시상식은 대회 경과보고, 유공자 표창, 축구·농구·배드민턴 3개 종목의 초·중·고등부 입상 학교에 대한 시상 순으로 진행됐다.
올해 챔피언스리그에는 초등학교 9개교, 중학교 24개교, 고등학교 21개교 등 총 53개 학교, 900여 명의 학생이 참가했다. 6월 21일 첫 경기를 시작으로 축구 84경기, 농구 16경기, 배드민턴 72경기 등 총 172경기가 양덕스포츠타운 축구장, 상대초등학교 운동장, 포항고 체육관, 초곡재난대피시설 등에서 치러졌다.
종목별 우승은 ▲세명고(축구·농구) ▲대흥중(축구) ▲포항송곡초(축구) ▲포항중앙여고(배드민턴) ▲환호여중(배드민턴)이 차지했다.
황병기 포항시체육회 상임부회장은 “챔피언스리그는 단순한 대회를 넘어 학생들의 성장과 변화를 이끌어낸 의미 있는 행사였다”며 “앞으로도 학교체육과 생활체육이 균형 있게 발전하도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
