【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구광역시행복진흥사회서비스원(이사장 배기철)이 운영하는 이동형청소년쉼터가 올해 들어 5만여 명에 가까운 지역 청소년들에게 다양한 긴급서비스를 제공하며 위기 청소년 보호의 최전선에서 큰 역할을 하고 있다.
이동형청소년쉼터는 45인승 버스를 개조해 만든 시설로, 주 4~5회 청소년이 많이 모이는 지역을 찾아가서 거리상담과 긴급 지원을 펼치고 있다. 해당 쉼터는 2015년 문을 연 이후 이용자가 매년 2~3%씩 꾸준히 증가해 지역 청소년과 학부모들로부터 신뢰를 얻고 있다는 평가다.

특히 지난 14일에는 중구 2.28기념공원 일대에서 ‘놀이동산’을 주제로 청소년유관기관들과 함께 연합 거리상담 활동을 진행했다. 이번 행사는 수능을 마친 청소년과 거리에서 머무는 청소년을 대상으로 학업과 진로에 대한 스트레스 해소, 정서적 안정 지원을 목적으로 마련됐다.
배기철 이사장은 “올해 5만3천여 건에 달하는 긴급서비스를 제공하며 거리 위 청소년 보호의 최전선을 지키고 있다”며, “앞으로도 청소년 곁에서 실질적인 지원과 관심을 아끼지 않겠다”고 강조했다.
대구행복진흥원의 이동형청소년쉼터는 앞으로도 지역 곳곳을 누비며 위기 청소년에게 즉각적인 지원과 안전망을 제공하는 ‘거리 위의 쉼터’로서 역할을 강화할 예정이다.
