【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=방송미디어통신위원회(위원장 직무대행 반상권)와 시청자미디어재단(이사장 최철호)이 20일 경기도 남양주 경기시청자미디어센터에서 ‘2025 시청자미디어대상 방송영상 공모전’ 시상식을 열었다.
올해로 11회를 맞은 이번 공모전에는 한 해 동안 방영된 시청자 참여 프로그램과 신규 창작 우수 영상이 대거 출품됐으며, 방송 참여 활성화에 기여한 시민들도 포상받았다.
이번 공모전에는 총 390점의 작품이 접수됐고, 예선과 본선, 국민참여 심사를 거쳐 대상 1편(국무총리상), 최우수상 5편(방미통위원장상), 우수상·장려상·특별상 등 13편이 선정됐다.
대상은 박평일 씨의 ‘그리움’이 차지했다. 이 작품은 이태원 참사로 손주를 잃은 노인의 시선을 담아 상실과 회복의 순간을 섬세하게 그려냈다는 평가를 받았다. 신규영상 부문 최우수상에는 ‘제주 바다의 경고’(이상걸 외 1인)가, 우수상에는 ‘조안면 마지막 풀짚공예 장인들’(고봉춘), ‘손끝에서 시작되는 약속’(천명준) 등 5편이 선정됐다.
TV방영작 부문에서는 ‘0과 1사이’(김다솜 외 2인)가 최우수상, ‘할머니를 만나는 길’(도민영 외 3인)이 우수상을 수상했다. 그 밖에 오디오, 주제영상, 심사위원 특별상, 시청자 방송참여 활성화 특별상 부문에서도 다양한 작품과 단체가 선정돼 의미를 더했다.
최철호 시청자미디어재단 이사장은 “올해 공모전에서는 인공지능 윤리, 세대 공존, 기후위기 등 현대 사회 문제를 시민의 시각에서 깊이 있게 다룬 작품들이 많았다”며 “재단은 누구나 미디어를 통해 생각을 표현할 수 있도록 지원을 확대하고, 세대와 지역 간 미디어 참여 격차 해소에도 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

The Korea Communications Commission (Acting Chairman Ban Sang-kwon) and the Viewer Media Foundation (Chairman Choi Cheol-ho) held the "2025 Viewer Media Awards Broadcast Video Contest" awards ceremony on the 20th at the Gyeonggi Viewer Media Center in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.
This year's 11th annual contest showcased numerous viewer participation programs aired throughout the year, along with excellent new creative videos. Citizens who contributed to revitalizing broadcasting participation were also rewarded.
A total of 390 works were submitted to this contest. After preliminary, final, and public evaluations, 13 works were selected, including one grand prize winner (Prime Minister's Award), five top prize winners (Chairman of the Visit-US Unification Committee Awards), and awards of excellence, encouragement, and special recognition.
The grand prize went to Park Pyeong-il's "Longing." This work was praised for its delicate portrayal of loss and recovery, capturing the perspective of an elderly man who lost his grandchild in the Itaewon tragedy. The Grand Prize in the New Video category went to "Jeju Sea's Warning" (Lee Sang-geol et al.), while Excellence Awards went to "The Last Straw Craft Artisans of Joan-myeon" (Go Bong-chun) and "A Promise Begins at Your Fingertips" (Chun Myeong-jun). Five films were selected.
In the TV Broadcast category, "Between 0 and 1" (Kim Da-som et al.) won the Grand Prize, and "The Road to Meeting Grandmother" (Do Min-young et al.) won the Excellence Award. Furthermore, diverse works and organizations were selected in the Audio, Thematic Video, Jury Special Award, and Viewer Participation Promotion Special Award categories, further adding to the significance of the contest.
Choi Cheol-ho, Chairman of the Viewer Media Foundation, stated, "This year's contest featured many works that deeply addressed contemporary social issues such as AI ethics, intergenerational coexistence, and the climate crisis from a citizen's perspective. The foundation will expand support to enable anyone to express their thoughts through media and strive to bridge the gap in media participation across generations and regions."
