파주시가 산악연맹 활성화와 시민들의 안전한 등산 환경 조성을 위한 현장 소통에 나섰다.
파주시는 지난 25일 금촌어울림센터에서 김종훈 파주시체육회장, 함선호 산악연맹 회장 및 소속 회원단체 등 40여 명이 참석한 가운데 '제181회 이동시장실'을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 행사에서는 산악인들이 현장에서 체감하는 실질적인 애로사항과 개선 방안이 집중 논의됐다.

주요 안건으로는 ▲산악연맹 활성화 방안 ▲등산로 정비 ▲평화누리길 안내판 개선 ▲국제규격 인공암벽장 건립 및 운영 방향 등이 다뤄졌다.
특히 참석자들의 관심이 집중된 것은 '국제규격 인공암벽장 건립사업'이었다.
현재 70%의 공정률을 기록하고 있는 이 사업은 2026년 1월 준공, 2월 개장을 목표로 추진되고 있다.
파주시는 개장 후 국가대표 선수 초청 시범 등반 등 기념 행사를 개최하고 시범 운영에 들어갈 계획이다.
이와 함께 월롱산 정상에서 용상사로 이어지는 노후 등산로 개선, 감악산 둘레길 정비 및 이정표 확충 등 시민들의 안전한 산행을 위한 실질적인 개선 방안도 함께 논의됐다.

김경일 파주시장은 "산을 걷는다는 것은 단순한 체육 활동이 아니라, 서로를 챙기고 이어주는 파주시민의 생활 문화"라며 "오늘 논의된 의견을 바탕으로 산악연맹 활성화와 안전한 산악문화 조성을 위해 지속적으로 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.
