세종시교육청은 26일 부교육감과 중등교육과장, 직업교육팀 장학관·장학사, 학교 관계자와 함께 (주)일미푸드를 방문해 직업계고 학생 현장실습 운영 실태를 점검했다고 밝혔다.
시 교육청에 따르면 올해 세종 관내 직업계고의 산업체 채용형 현장실습 참여 규모는 11월 24일 기준 학생 65명, 기업 45개이며, 세종미래고등학교, 세종여자고등학교, 세종장영실고등학교 학생들이 참여하고 있다.
이번 점검은 실습 기간 동안 학생의 안전을 실질적으로 확보하기 위한 조치다.
시 교육청은 지난해부터 ‘현장실습 안전지원단’을 운영하며 관내 실습 기업을 대상으로 안전관리 체계, 학생 보호 장치, 위험요인 대응 수준을 점검해 왔다.
이 자리에서 점검단은 ▲학습 중심 실습환경 조성 여부 ▲산업안전보건 관리 수준 ▲근로시간 및 노동인권 준수 ▲사고 예방 교육 운영 ▲학생 실습 배치 및 지도 체계 등을 확인했다.
또 실습 참여 학생과 개별 면담을 통해 실습 만족도와 현장 개선 의견을 들었다.
구연희 교육감 권한대행은 “학생이 안정적으로 실습에 참여할 수 있는 환경 마련이 최우선 과제.”라며, “기업과 학교가 협력해 위험요인을 적극 개선하고 학생 중심의 보호체계를 더욱 강화하겠다.”고 강조했다.
이어 “세종 직업계고 학생들이 전공 역량을 안전하게 키울 수 있도록 전문가와 연계한 모니터링과 맞춤형 지원을 지속하겠다.”라고 덧붙였다.
한편, 세종시교육청은 앞으로도 부교육감이 반장으로 이끄는 ‘현장실습 안전점검단’을 중심으로 현장실습 대상 점검을 강화하고, 하이파이브(HIFIVE) 기반 실시간 모니터링 강화, 학생 보호 중심 점검체계 고도화 등을 추진해 현장실습 안전 강화 정책을 지속 추진할 계획이다.
