브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 동아제약이 보건복지부와 한국사회복지협의회가 공동 주관하는 ‘지역사회공헌 인정제’에서 3년 연속 인정기관으로 선정됐다. 단순한 기부를 넘어 지역사회가 체감할 수 있는 지속 가능한 상생 활동을 꾸준히 이어온 점이 높이 평가됐다.
‘지역사회공헌 인정제’는 기업·기관의 ESG 경영 실천과 사회 공헌 활동을 종합적으로 평가하는 제도로, 환경경영, 사회적 책임 경영, 투명 경영 등 7개 분야의 세부 지표를 기준으로 진행된다.
동아제약은 1983년부터 40년 넘게 ‘마로니에 여성 백일장’을 후원하며 국내 여성 문학의 저변 확대와 신진 여성 문인 발굴에 기여하고 있다. 올해 43회 대회에는 역대 최대인 1,246명이 참가했다. 또한 지역 상생과 기부 문화 확산을 위해 매년 동대문구 본사에서 ‘사랑나눔바자회’를 열어 4,000명 이상의 주민이 참여하고, 수익금 전액을 저소득층 지원 사업에 기부하고 있다.
