남구청은 27일 '남구형 산후조리비 지원 및 백일해·풍진 예방접종 지원' 정책을 추진해 2025년 대구시 저출생 대응 우수사례 경진대회에서 우수기관으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
이번 경진대회는 구·군의 다양한 저출생 대응 정책을 발굴하고 그 성과를 공유하기 위해 마련됐다. 남구는 대구 지역에서 처음으로 산후조리비 지원과 예방접종 지원 사업을 실시해 건강한 출산 환경 조성에 앞장서며 평가를 받았다.
남구형 산후조리비 지원사업은 출산 가정에 1인당 최대 50만 원을 지원, 경제적 부담을 덜어주는 동시에 출산 후 부모의 건강관리에도 도움을 주고 있다. 백일해와 풍진 예방접종 지원을 통해 임산부와 신생아에게 위협이 되는 질병을 미리 차단하는 정책도 함께 펼쳤다.
조재구 남구청장은 "앞으로도 주민들이 안심하고 아이를 키울 수 있는 실질적인 출산 지원 정책을 계속 확대하겠다"고 말했다.
