【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구보건소가 ‘2025년 지역사회중심 금연지원서비스사업’ 성과 평가에서 최우수기관으로 뽑혔다.
시상식은 지난 26일 열렸으며, 대구시와 대구금연지원센터가 공동 주최했다. 이 자리에는 대구시와 9개 구·군 보건소 관계자들이 참석해 우수기관을 시상하고, 우수사례를 공유했다.
이번 평가에서 중구보건소는 청년층을 겨냥한 금연 환경 조성으로 높은 점수를 받았다. 대구 최초로 청년문화 중심의 자율 금연문화거리를 조성하고, 동성로에 금연벨을 설치했다. 또 2030 세대와 함께 걷는 완충녹지 구역도 금연구역으로 지정하는 등, 청년 맞춤형 정책을 적극 추진해 눈길을 끌었다.
이 밖에도 지역 내 간호학과 학생들이 직접 제작한 신종 담배 유해성 홍보 영상을 활용하고, 여성 이용 시설 등 여러 기관과 협약해 공동 금연 홍보를 펼치는 등 지역사회 참여 기반을 넓혔다는 평가도 받았다.
이런 노력의 결과로 중구 지역의 전자담배 단속률은 전년 대비 62.5%포인트 올랐고, 2030 세대 및 여성 금연클리닉 등록률도 8.8%포인트 증가하는 등 실질적인 성과로 이어졌다.
황석선 중구보건소장은 “이번 수상은 직원들의 꾸준한 노력과 주민들의 적극적인 참여 덕분에 가능했다”며 “앞으로도 신종담배의 유해성에 대한 맞춤형 홍보를 계속 확대해 건강한 중구를 만드는 데 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

As a result of these efforts, the e-cigarette crackdown rate in Jung-gu increased by 62.5 percentage points year-on-year, and the registration rate for smoking cessation clinics for the 2030 generation and women also increased by 8.8 percentage points, resulting in tangible results.
