【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 달성군이 전국 농업기술센터 중 처음으로 할랄 인증을 획득하며 지역 농산물 가공품의 글로벌 경쟁력을 한층 높였다.
이번 인증은 사단법인 한국할랄산업진흥원에서 진행됐으며, 대상은 달성군 농산물가공기술지원센터에서 생산하는 딸기잼, 미나리즙, 블루베리음료, 푸룬주스 등 4종이다.
인증 과정에서는 원료 선정부터 제조 공정, 위생 관리까지 모든 단계가 이슬람 율법에 부합하는지 엄격하게 검증됐다.
이로써 달성군 농산물 가공품은 동남아시아와 중동 등 약 20억 명에 달하는 무슬림 시장에서 신뢰를 얻게 됐다.
특히 공공기관에서 생산된 제품이 공식 할랄 인증을 받은 것은 전국 최초로, 국내 소비자에게도 안전성과 신뢰성을 인정받는 계기가 될 것으로 보인다.
최재훈 달성군수는 “이번 할랄 인증은 지역 농산물 가공품의 국제 경쟁력을 높이는 의미 있는 출발선”이라며 “앞으로 지역 농가와 연계해 지속 가능한 가공산업 기반을 다지고, 지역 경제 활성화에도 적극 나서겠다”고 말했다.

Dalseong County in Daegu has become the first agricultural technology center nationwide to receive Halal certification, further enhancing the global competitiveness of local processed agricultural products.
This certification, administered by the Korea Halal Industry Promotion Agency, targeted four products produced by the Dalseong County Agricultural Products Processing Technology Support Center: strawberry jam, water parsley juice, blueberry beverage, and prune juice.
The certification process rigorously verified compliance with Islamic law at every stage, from raw material selection to manufacturing processes and hygiene management.
This achievement has earned Dalseong County processed agricultural products the trust of a Muslim market of approximately 2 billion people in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Notably, this marks the first time in Korea that a product produced by a public institution has received official Halal certification, further strengthening the safety and reliability of local consumers.
Choi Jae-hoon, Dalseong County Governor, stated, "This Halal certification is a meaningful starting point for enhancing the international competitiveness of local processed agricultural products. We will continue to work with local farmers to establish a sustainable processing industry and actively contribute to the revitalization of the local economy."
