브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 효성이 3일 마포구청에서 마포구 관내 취약계층을 위한 ‘사랑의 쌀’, ‘사랑의 김장 김치’를 전달했다.
이번에 기부한 물품은 10kg 김장김치 1500박스와 20kg 쌀 500포대다. 김치는 취약계층을 고용하는 사회적 기업에서, 쌀은 경상남도 함안군에서 구매했다.
효성은 마포구 취약계층을 위해 2006년부터 쌀을, 2007년부터 김치를 매년 마포구청에 전달하고 있다.
효성은 혹한기를 앞두고 아현동주민센터와 서울남부보훈지청에도 ‘사랑의 생필품’을 전달할 예정이다. 아현동주민센터에는 취약계층을 위한 햄, 참치 세트를, 서울남부보훈지청에는 국가유공자를 위한 팥죽, 호박죽 세트를 지원한다.
한편, 효성 임직원들은 오는 15일 ‘사랑의 헌혈’에 참여하고, 18일에는 장애전문 베다니어린이집 장애아동들과 크리스마스파티를 진행하는 등 지역사회와 함께 따뜻한 연말을 보낼 예정이다.
