충남 서산시의 주요 현안 사업들이 내년도 정부예산안에 대거 반영되면서 지역 발전 전략에 가속도가 붙고 있다.
서산시는 지난 2일 국회를 통과한 2026년도 정부예산안에 신규 및 계속사업 국비가 포함되고, 일부 사업이 국회 심의 과정에서 증액되면서 향후 추진에 ‘탄력’을 얻게 됐다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 예산 확정을 통해 서산시는 총 6500억 원 규모의 외부재원 확보 목표 달성에 한 발 다가섰다. 특히 국회 증액만 39억 원에 달한 것으로 나타났다.
신규 사업 중에서는 지속가능항공유 전주기 통합생산 기술 개발 사업(50억 원) ,해미국제성지 문화교류센터 건립(6억 원)이 포함됐다.
또한 △탄소포집활용 실증지원센터 구축(75억 원) 그린 UAM-AAV 핵심부품 시험평가 기반구축(63억 원) ,서산공항 건설(10억 5천만 원) 등이 계속사업으로 반영됐다.
여기에 가로림만 해양보호구역 갯벌생태길 조성사업(7억 원)도 예산 편성에 포함되며 동시다발적 추진이 예상된다.
국회에서 증액된 사업도 눈에 띈다.

대산항 해상교통시설 확충·재정비 용역 예산 3억 원도 반영돼 항만 안전관리 체계가 한층 강화될 전망이다.
서산시는 이번 예산 성과가 중앙부처와 국회를 상대로 주요 사업의 필요성을 직접 설득해온 결과라고 설명했다.
