【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단 산하 서변숲도서관이 지난 8일 동화구연 자원봉사자의 전문성 향상을 위한 '2025년 동화구연 자원봉사자 보수교육'을 진행했다.
서변숲도서관 자원봉사단 ‘이야기 숲’은 도서관 개관과 함께 조직돼, 지역 어린이집과 유치원을 찾아 유아들에게 그림책을 읽어주는 활동을 꾸준히 펼치고 있다.
단체명에는 도서관에서 시작된 다양한 이야기가 숲처럼 무성하게 자라나길 바라는 뜻이 담겼다.
도서관은 지난 5월 지역 주민 20명을 대상으로 이틀간 동화구연 특강을 열어 자원봉사 참여 기반도 넓혔다. 교육을 이수한 주민들은 도서관을 방문한 유아들과 함께 그림책을 읽고 독후 활동을 진행하며, 도서관과 지역사회 간의 친밀감 형성에 기여하고 있다.
이번 보수교육은 실습 위주로 구성해 봉사자들의 요구를 적극 반영했다. 유아의 발달 단계에 맞춘 그림책 선정법과 동화구연 시연·실습, 그림책 관련 독후 활동 방안 등 현장에서 바로 활용할 수 있는 내용들이 포함됐다.
서변숲도서관 관계자는 “지역 유아들이 책과 도서관을 더욱 친근하게 느낄 수 있도록, 앞으로도 동화구연 봉사활동을 계속 지원할 계획”이라고 말했다.
