【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교 국방군사계열 학생들이 미래 군 간부 직무에 대한 이해를 높이고자 현장 체험에 나섰다.
국방군사계열은 지난 8일 육군 제2작전사령부를 방문해 안보 현장을 직접 살피는 견학 프로그램을 진행했다. 이번 행사에는 최재영 총장이 동행해 의미를 더했다.
견학은 부대 소개 영상 및 브리핑으로 시작됐다. 학생들은 제2작전사령부의 역할과 조직 구조를 파악한 뒤, 생활관과 장비·물자 시설을 둘러보며 병영 문화를 몸소 체험했다. 이어 개인 및 공용화기, 통신장비, 화생방 장비, 군사경찰 장비 등 다양한 장비를 직접 확인하고 담당 간부로부터 설명을 들었다. 학생들은 교과서에서 접하던 내용을 실제 현장에서 확인하며 직업적 동기와 자긍심을 높였다.
현장에 참여한 복채은 학생회장은 “생활관과 장비를 직접 보고 나니 군 간부라는 진로가 더 또렷해졌다”며 “사령관님과 총장님의 말씀을 마음에 새기고, 책임감과 전문성을 갖춘 군 간부로 성장하겠다”고 소감했다.
중식 시간에는 학생들이 부대 장병들과 같은 식단을 함께하며 병영 생활 문화를 가까이에서 경험하기도 했다.
김호복 군 제2작전사령관은 “예비 군 간부들을 직접 만나 뜻깊다”며 “오늘의 체험이 앞으로 군 간부의 마음가짐을 다지는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
최재영 총장은 “국방군사계열 학생들은 머지않아 국가 안보를 책임질 핵심 인재들”이라며 “현장 중심 교육을 계속 확대해 전문성과 인성을 갖춘 군 간부 양성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

During lunch, the students shared the same meals as the soldiers, experiencing barracks life up close.
Kim Ho-bok, Commander of the 2nd Operations Command, said, "It was meaningful to meet the reserve officers in person," adding, "I hope today's experience will serve as an opportunity to strengthen the mindset of future military officers."
President Choi Jae-young stated, "Students in the National Defense and Military Science Department are key personnel who will soon be responsible for national security. We will continue to expand field-oriented education and strive to cultivate military officers with expertise and character."
